Redrawing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/schoolofartgalleries.dsc.rmit.edu.au\/PSSR\/exhibitions\/2008\/redrawing.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/redrawing_invite.gif\" title=\"First NZ, now UK.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Next month I&#8217;m presenting my piece <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookylamoo.com\/music\/sq2_canon_in_beta.shtml\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">String Quartet No.2 (Canon in Beta)<\/span><\/a> in a new version, as an installation in the group exhibition <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Redrawing<\/span>, at <a href=\"http:\/\/schoolofartgalleries.dsc.rmit.edu.au\/PSSR\/exhibitions\/2008\/redrawing.html\">RMIT&#8217;s Project Space<\/a> in Melbourne.  With works by Bronwyn Clark-Coolee, Fiona Macdonald, Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Mastroiacovo, and Spiros Panigirakis.  Curated by Fiona Macdonald.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The show runs from Friday 6 June to Friday 27 June 2008; opening night is Thursday 5 June,  5 &#8211; 7 pm.  Hope you can make it.  There will also be a floor talk by me and some (all?) of the other artists on Thursday 12 June 12 &#8211; 1 pm, followed by <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2007\/08\/placard-condensed.html\">a thrilling live performance<\/a> of the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">String Quartet<\/span>.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you might have guessed from the above blurb, my piece will fit in very nicely with the show&#8217;s premise of redrawing, of imitation as a creative practice.  More to come about the show over the next few weeks.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also also, while I&#8217;m in Melbourne it looks like I&#8217;ll be playing another live gig, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsebazaar.com.au\/index.html\">Horse Bazaar<\/a> on Wednesday 11 June.
