I&#8217;ve never expected any of my stuff to have broad appeal, but it&#8217;s intriguing to see what people seem to be interested in.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">With one exception, this is the fairly stable order of popularity amongst my pictures.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/44788121\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/standrew05a.jpg\" title=\"All traces of pre-war residua ruthlessly expunged.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">10!<\/span> I still haven&#8217;t seen Patrick Keiller&#8217;s <a style=\"font-style: italic;\" href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2007\/02\/filler-by-proxy-xlvi-london-and-daisies.html\">London<\/a> again, so I still don&#8217;t know how close I got to <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2005\/12\/third-pilgrimage-st-andrew-by-wardrobe.html\">guessing the particular location<\/a> of the forgotten corner of the city that briefly appears in the film.  Instead, I relied on Iain Sinclair&#8217;s description of finding the same place some years later, somewhere near St Andrew By The Wardrobe.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/174633812\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/maidatube01a.jpg\" title=\"Swings like a pendulum do.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">9!<\/span> Trainspotters ahoy! The Tube&#8217;s inexplicable allure adds a cachet to even the most mundane snapshots.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/93285667\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/mrbrain01.jpg\" title=\"Once again, Jesus Fucking Christ\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">8!<\/span> Heh heh, I said &#8216;faggots&#8217;. I&#8217;m amazed this one isn&#8217;t the most viewed in the entire set, because half of my website traffic consists of kids on MySpace linking to <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2005\/11\/theyre-big-and-salty-and-brown.html\">the smaller version on this blog<\/a>.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/181757643\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/hackpolice02.jpg\" title=\"Hackney please stay the same, now I'm not there.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">7!<\/span> The promise of violence. Because people like violence. Especially when <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2006\/07\/outside-my-window-yesterday-afternoon.html\">it&#8217;s close enough to enjoy<\/a> but you&#8217;re safely out of the way.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/136897119\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/colloseum01.jpg\" title=\"Just like Double Team, but with cheese-flavoured Fonzies.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">6!<\/span> The tastefully understated Colloseum photograph. One of very few taken on <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2006\/04\/jesus-owes-me-80-euros-voyage-to-italy.html\">my holiday in Italy<\/a>.  I can&#8217;t help feeling people are mildly disappointed when their searches turn up my photos.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/57298873\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/sagrada01a.jpg\" title=\"Funnily enough, I don't think he was wearing a peaked cap.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">5!<\/span> See? This is exactly what I mean.  This a security guard outside the Sagrada Familia and is tagged accordingly, so I hope people turning up this one are more interested in handcuffs than Gaudi.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/57293072\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/aldwych01a.jpg\" title=\"Haunted! By PR agents scouting for intriguing press launch locations.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">4!<\/span> The only thing more exciting than an old Tube station is a derelict Tube station.  Aldwych station, once briefly known as Strand station, is now a ghost station and frequent stand-in for real Underground stations on film and TV.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/1065133159\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/passenger01a.jpg\" title=\"Can one get by with an exquisite interior?\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">3!<\/span> Now here&#8217;s the anomaly. A blurry shot at a graduate art show off Brick Lane, which has suddenly rocketed up the charts in only the past week. I have no idea why. Perhaps it&#8217;s been discovered by a cabal of Ballardian fetishists who like to pretend this is Rosanna Arquette.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/221263002\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/rigadolls01a.jpg\" title=\"I'm guessing the Disney characters aren't licensed, and the guy with the Finnish flag plays ice hockey.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">2! <\/span>A street stall of nested dolls for the tourists <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2006\/03\/i-go-to-riga.html\">in Riga<\/a>.  There&#8217;s nothing like Harry Potter, Stalin, and Osama Bin Laden tags to boost the hit rate, although I guess this photo must have disappointed many feverish authors hopefully searching for illustrations for their slash fiction.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cookylamoo\/266410603\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/desk01a.jpg\" title=\"Squint to see the face of Daniel Craig.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">1!<\/span> Ah, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22inanimate+carbon+rod%22\">inanimate carbon rod<\/a> of my photo set!  These soothing wood tones and rich timber grain have brightened the <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2006\/10\/new-desk-at-last-it-looks-like-this.html\">desktops of geeks<\/a> around the world.
