Someone, equally incredulous, just wrote to me <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2007\/01\/doing-it-for-gerald-ford-three-and-half.html#7816702281657887735\">to say<\/a>, &#8220;I can&#8217;t believe you haven&#8217;t posted about <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Celebrity Big Brother<\/span> yet,&#8221; as if I&#8217;m the sort of person who watches much TV besides <a href=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/2006\/01\/maybe-next-post-will-be-about-elliott.html\">darts<\/a>.  I had no idea what the anonymous well-wisher was driving at, until I remembered who one of this year&#8217;s contestants was: the former pop star who moved to Australia with the immortal words&#8230;<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/news\/Music\/Exit-Leo-Im-not-uncool\/2004\/11\/07\/1099781236168.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cookylamoo.com\/boringlikeadrill\/blogpix\/leospeaks.jpg\" title=\"In Australia they still want heroes. They are looking to me to teach their kids knowledge and wisdom.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">I don&#8217;t know how much luck he&#8217;s had inspiring the youth of Australia, but he&#8217;s been back in the UK trying to engender veneration from the likes of Ken Russell and Face from <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The A Team.<\/span> Sadly, it seems Australia is still a more enlightened place than Borehamwood, because he&#8217;s already quit the show, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/entertainment\/6256373.stm\">after knocking down a door with a shovel.<\/a>&#8221;  And he&#8217;d run out of clean underpants.  Paul McCartney was right about saints.
