About the author.Cooky La Moo is the repository of the work of Ben.Harper, a self-styled musician, "artist" and writer. He grew up in the Adelaide Hills and has not yet fully adjusted to human society, despite relocating to Melbourne and then, after a murky financial misadventure, to London. His public appearances have been rare, seldom venturing out of his bunker in South East London, where he spends his time evading creditors and nursing his obscurity, mistaking it for genius. Over the past twenty years he has succumbed to pressure on a handful of occasions to present a live performance or audio-visual installation in a small gallery. This website will present what documentation survives of his work, but don't hold your breath. The blog will announce any significant additions. |
Boring Like A DrillYes, there's a blog. There's always a blog. The blog has a name index, and a subject index. Settle down! |
MusicA growing selection of Ben.Harper's music, now with mp3s. Also includes The Hit Parade, a small collection of songs featured on Boring Like A Drill. Then there's also Please Mister Please. |
SarsaparillaA collective of culture bloggers based, geographically or mentally, in Australia, which Ben occasionally writes for. |
